Fairview/Lucas Quick Guide
About Fairview/Lucas
Sandwiched between Allen to the south and McKinney to the north, Fairview wasn’t incorporated until 1958, and, as the town’s website says, they are still “keeping it country” here. When Fairview was incorporated in 1958 it had a population of 50. Since that time, it has grown steadily to today’s population of almost 9,000. The community is marked by large houses on large lots, expansive open spaces, numerous horse farms, excellent schools, rolling hills, vast hardwoods, beautiful creeks, and the extensive Village at Fairview shopping area and mixed-use center.
Lucas, Texas was founded by farmers who had the foresight to establish a rural community with large lots, a country lifestyle with fresh air, room for horses, livestock and kids to roam. Their vision has been safeguarded by current residents. Lucas is home to approximately 5015 people, and a large population of dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, llamas, cattle, sheep, goats, chickens, and other animals. Animal lovers are welcome and all those who wish to enjoy and maintain this uniquely Lucas lifestyle.
